21 year old Eleanor Tomlinson (represented by Conway Van Gelder Grant) is set to play Demelza opposite Aidan Turner in the new BBC adaptation of the 18th Century saga set in Cornwall, Poldark.
Eleanor, who has been acting since her early teens was in teen comedy Angus, Thongs And Perfect Snogging, and went on to star opposite Nicholas Hoult in Jack The Giant Slayer. She's recently been seen in two BBC period dramas - The White Queen and Death Comes to Pemberley.
Poldark is about to start filming in Cornwall and Bristol, with Aidan Turner currently on location shooting some winter footage before the main shoot starts.
The eight-part series is an adaptation of Winston Graham’s acclaimed novels , set in 18th Century Cornwall, is written by Debbie Horsfield with four episodes to be directed by Ed Bazalgette (The Guilty, Endeavour) and four by William McGregor (Misfits), and produced by Eliza Mellor (Death Comes to Pemberley) for Mammoth Screen.
