If that wasn’t bad enough, Hetty also has to content with bully Sheila and her clutch of comrades known as the She Mob. But things look up when Hetty meets up with Mathias and the gang from the boys' wing and they hatch a high risk plan to escape the hospital for good. Can they scale the walls in search of freedom or will Matron and the She Mob catch and punish them?

Kascion (represented by Red Talent Management) from Birmingham, trained at the University of Northampton and Identity School of Acting.

He will star alongside Lenny Henry who will play his dad Samson and Cecilia Noble as his mum Myrtle. Arthur Darvill plays Danny’s Manager Jonesy, Richard Wilson plays promoter James Broughto, Mark Benton plays seasoned entertainer Syd Bolton, and Cherrelle Skeete plays Danny's sister Dee Dee,

BAFTA Rising Star Destiny Ekaragha (Gone Too Far) directs the drama which is being made by RED Production Company for BBC One.

Lenry Henry said: "I can't believe that we're finally shooting my screenplay Danny And The Human Zoo! This is a fantasy memoir of the first two years of my career - my beginnings, working on the Zoo, working men's clubs and all that stuff that happened to me in the mid-Seventies - but crammed into 90 minutes. The script took about three years with the help of Nicola Shindler and Caroline Hollick at RED Productions and now we're going to make it in Dudley - led by a wonderful director Destiny Ekaragha. There's an incredibly talented cast and I feel very lucky to be a part of it all."

Danny’s world is a series of complex minefields which he has to negotiate: his home life - which his ebullient mother rules with an iron fist in an iron glove; his love life - where the Irish girl he's in lust with won't give him the time of day until he wins his first competition; and finally the ups and downs of his emerging career.
When Danny wins a talent competition at the local club, he soon finds himself working the comedy circuit. Audiences can’t get enough and applaud Danny as he effortlessly morphs into Mohammed Ali, Tommy Cooper and Frank Spencer, eventually hitting the big time on TV - an unheard-of achievement for a young black boy. But an unscrupulous manager takes advantage of Danny and forces him to star in a show - Musical Minstrel Cavalcade. Danny hits rock bottom. Having made his name by becoming other people, Danny has to save himself by finding out who he really is.

Danny And The Human Zoo will be filming in and around the Dudley area.

The drama will open in modern day Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) where twelve-year-old Lucy Rose (Hazel Doupe) is awaiting treatment for a serious heart condition. Her mother Julie (Laura Fraser, also doubling up as Mrs Darling) is distraught with the fear of losing her child, and surgeon Mr Wylie (Stanley Tucci, who also plays Hook) assures her he’ll do everything in his power to make the operation a success.

Lucy dreams this version of Peter Pan into existence and the story is retold through the young girl’s imagination.

The magical story cuts back and forth between Lucy’s modern day struggles and the fantasy land of Neverland, with the common theme being positivity and belief.

Peter & Wendy is currently in production with filming taking place over a six week period in Luxembourg, London and Dorset.

First portrayed by Tobey Maguire in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, then portrayed by Andrew Garfield in The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel, now 19 year old British actor Tom Holland will take on the iconic role of Peter Parker.

Since the new version of Spider-Man was announced, it was clear Marvel was looking for a younger actor who would portray a high school-aged Peter Parker, and Tom has beaten fellow Brits Charlie Rowe and Asa Butterfield to the role, after a world-wide casting search.

Marvel and Sony Pictures, and producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal conducted an extensive search for the new Spider-man and the studios and producers were impressed by Holland’s performances in The Impossible, Wolf Hall, and the upcoming In the Heart of the Sea, and by a series of complex screen tests.

Sony Chairman commented "For Spidey himself, we saw many terrific young actors, but Tom’s screen tests were special."

Pascal added, “Sony, Marvel, Kevin and I all knew that for Peter Parker, we had to find a vibrant, talented young actor capable of embodying one of the most well-known characters in the world. With Tom, we’ve found the perfect actor to bring Spider-Man’s story into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

Tom (represented in the UK by Curtis Brown) is from Kingston-upon-Thames, and is the son of comedian Dominic Holland, he started his acting career aged 12 when he spent nearly two years playing Billy Elliot in the West End.

The new film is due out July 2017.

They set off on a boat to camp on a remote island in the middle of a lake, but when they get there they soon discover they are not alone on the island. As they battle for ownership of the island, they learn the skills of survival and the value of friendship, which helps prepare them for the real danger they must face from the adult world.

"Watching the young actors learn to sail so brilliantly in our Swallow and Amazon, as we prepare for the shoot, has been a great thrill. I can’t wait to bring this world of pure adventure to life," said director Philippa Lowthorpe.

Nick Barton of Harbour Pictures Productions, Nick O’Hagan, and BBC Films’ Joe Oppenheimer are the producers, and the screenplay is by Scottish writer Andrea Gibb.

Filming is currently underway in Yorkshire and the Lake District.

George MacKay, Jessica Barden, Daisy Bevan, and Jessica Brown-Findlay lead the cast of The Outcast, a new two-part drama coming to BBC One, adapted by Sadie Jones from her award-winning novel.

The Outcast is a powerful portrait of small-town hypocrisy and young love, set in 1950s Britain.

Pushed to the fringes of society, Lewis seems to be completely abandoned, but for the one girl whose love might yet save him. Can he summon the courage to overcome his demons and expose the darkness that lurks behind the façade of his picture-perfect village?

George MacKay (represented by Gordon and French) stars as Lewis Aldridge (from the age of 16), who is only ten years old when he witnesses the death of his beautiful, doting mother. Left alone with his emotionally distant father Gilbert (played by Greg Wise), Lewis is forced to bury his grief. Lewis is neglected until his suppressed rage boils over into an explosive act of defiance.

12 year old Finn Elliot (represented by Curtis Brown) plays the ten year old Lewis.

Jessica Barden, (represented by Curtis Brown), plays Kit one of the neighbouring Carmichael girls, and Lewis' only ally, but with her sister Tamsin, she has problems of her own, bullied by their father (played by Nathaniel Parker), an apparent pillar of the community who hides his true tendencies. Jocelyn MacNab, Topsy in CBeebies Topsy and Tim, plays Kit as a young child.

23 year old Daisy Bevan, a member of the Redgrave acting dynasty, plays Kit's older sister Tamsin., a fun and sparky character. When Lewis returns in part two, the whole village sees him as ‘the outcast’, but she’s intrigued by him and takes him under her wing.

Jessica Brown-Findlay (represented
by Troika), star of Jamaica Inn,  plays Alice, Gilbert's new wife. When Gilbert marries Alice, a needy younger woman, Lewis becomes prone to disturbingly self-destructive behaviour.
