Andy Brierley Casting will be holding open auditions in Leeds on Wednesday 4th December for 2 roles in a forthcoming BBC drama.

We are looking for two boys of Indian/Pakistani ethnicity (one aged 9-11, one aged 15/16) based in Huddersfield/Leeds/Bradford and surrounding areas.

Boys must be available from 7th January for 7 weeks (overall shoot dates) and have a natural, working class Yorkshire accent

The roles are as follows:

Zamir (Male)

15 years old. Yorkshire accent. Indian or Pakistani.
Zamir fancies himself a bit and is a pretty mischievous teenager; he's nosey and wants to be involved in any neighbourhood drama. This is an adult drama so there will be some minor swearing for Zamir.
YORKSHIRE accents are a must for this. Indian/Pakistani Yorkshire accents are also fine.

Akil (Male)

9 years old but could be a young looking 10-12 year old. Yorkshire accent. Indian or Pakistani.
Akil is a good kid but he's got a naughty streak and, like his older brother Zamir, wants to be involved in neighbourhood going-ons, a right nosey neighbour!
YORKSHIRE accents are must with this. Indian/Pakistani Yorkshire accents are also fine.

The open auditions will take place at The Queens Hotel in Leeds between 3pm and 7pm:

City Square
Leeds
West Yorkshire
LS1 1PJ

Please note that we will only audition boys who are the right age and ethnicity and who have the right accent. Those who wish to audition must have a parent or guardian with them.

We retain the right to turn people away at the door if we do not feel they fit this criteria.
We will not be seeing anyone for any roles other than these two.
