He is working class and has grown up in Suffolk so we need someone with an accent from that region (Suffolk, Norfolk). He is a tough but vulnerable 13 year old who has a difficult relationship with his Father. His childhood has been hard. We do need a boy, not a full blown young man, and a great young actor.
