Up and coming British actress 22 year old Naomi Battrick has landed a regular role in the BBC school drama Waterloo Road.
Naomi is set to play the new regular character of ‘Gabriella Wark’, and has moved to Scotland where she is due to start filming this week.
Naomi (represented by Mark Jermin Management) says "This is my dream role, where I can develop a character over a long period of time. I can’t wait to see where the character goes with the story lines that are coming up".
She recently finished filming the lead role in American feature film Abducted directed by Don Michael Paul for UFO Productions. Best known for her role as Toyah in CBBC's My Almost Famous Family, she will also appear in new thriller Blood which has just been released.
Naomi's character is set to debut in Waterloo Road from September.
Also currently filming is 18 year old Mark Beswick from Droylsdon, who beat off competition to land the role of another new regular Darren.
"It’s a great character though I can’t reveal much about him at the moment," said Mark. "He has some really strong storylines and is definitely going to ruffle some feathers."
Mark is the voice of kids TV character Trollee, in hit CBeebies series Mike The Knight and appeared as Joe in CBBC's Rocket Island.
Mark trained in acting at Manchester’s David Johnson Drama where he was talent spotted by MediaCity based Scream Management, who specialise in finding young talent for the screen.
