Shooting begins this week on Howl, the new "creature feature" horror film from up and coming director Paul Hyett. Hyett is known for his SFX work on The Woman in Black and The Descent, and he directed acclaimed The Seasoning House.

Howl tells the story of a midnight train which is attacked by a terrifying pack of werewolves, forcing a shy ticket inspector to unleash his inner beast to lead his passengers to safety and survive the night.

Ed Speleers, star of Downton Abbey and the recently released Plastic, and Holly Weston, who played Ash in Hollyoaks, lead the cast alongside Shauna Macdonald and Elliot Cowan, with Amit Shah, Calvin Dean, and Ryan Oliva.

The young cast joining them include Brit School graduate 21 year old Sam Gittins (represented by Bloomfields Welch Management), who was recently seen as Gog in Sky's The Smoke and is also currently filming the new series of Mr Selfridge, and 19 year old Rosie Day (represented by Troika) who starred in Hyett's previous film The Seasoning House.

Written by Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler, Howl is produced by Ed King and Martin Gentles for Starchild Pictures.
